Distinctions from Anatolian Alevism

Both traditions bind themselves to the Ahl al-Bayt; practice diverges.

Anatolian Alevism foregrounds cem, semah, dede lineages, and the cemevi. Arab Alevism foregrounds ziyara, shaykhs, amcalık, and Ghadir Khumm / hırise.

Khidr appears in both. The coastal shrine at Samandağ and the 5–6 May gathering are documented for this geography. The Anatolian Khidr fast is not the main practice here.
